Agenda
IPAF Categories:
Category 1B – defined as static booms, which can also be a van mount, vehicle mount, trailer mount, push-around or spider and commonly referred to as a cherry picker. A static boom means once the machine is in place, it does not move location on the ground, but has all the benefits of a mobile boom once the basket is elevated.
Category 3A – defined as a machine that is driveable and once safely in place, allows you to operate it up and down only from its base position, also commonly referred to as a scissor lift. These can be used indoors or outdoors depending upon the machine specification.
Category 3B – defined as a machine that is a driveable, self propelled boom and commonly referred to as a cherry picker, which can be stick or articulated and allows the operator to manoeuvre it from its elevated basket position whilst in use. Very similar to the 1B, but the main difference being it is fully driveable and not static. Can be used indoors or outdoors depending upon machine specification.
